Syrian Blogger Razan Ghazzawi and 6 other female activists have been freed after their arrest last week, a human rights lawyer has said.

The women were released on Saturday, but were ordered to report to police daily in order to continue their questioning, said the lawyer, Anwar Bunni.

On Thursday Police arrested 14 activists when they conducted a raid on The Syrian Centre for Media and Freedom of Expression.

The Centre is an activist group headed by Mazen Darwish. Mr Bunni said: “Darwish and the others still remain in custody, police were investigating origins of information used by the centre as well as its sources of funding”.
