The Rat Pack from Bournemouth performed a free show for the 10th anniversary of Mr Kyps in Poole  last night.

The Rat Pack is a nine piece jazz/swing band based in Bournemouth. It puts together a five-piece brass section, guitar, double bass, drums and harmonised vocals to recreate the music made famous by the legendary Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr and Dean Martin.

Mr Kyps thanked their loyal customers for supporting them and said 10 years of success is down to their fans.

The place was buzzing, with regulars contributing to the laid-back atmosphere. There were fans from the ages of mid 30s to 60s.

They began playing at 9pm and had everyone swaying to I’ve got you under my skin.

The band played constant classics, including Beyond the Sea, It’s Not Unusual, The More I See You, and many more. The bands popular genres include Swing, Jump Jive, Latin, and Retro Pop.

Looking around the pub, everyone was moving to music across 50+ years of party tunes. Later in the evening, even the eldest audience members took to the crowded dance floor and joined in with the enjoyment, making the gig all the more lively.

The Bournemouth Rat Pack presented an exciting show that got everyone on their feet. It was a dynamic, visual show with the band dressed in sharp suits playing great music and interacting with the audience.

The band has previously performed at the BIC, Royal Bath, Lulworth Castle and Blenheim Palace among others.
