Phil Taylor went top of McCoy’s Premier League Darts in Bournemouth

The sixteen times world darts champion ranked first in the McCoy’s Premier League Darts tournament with the winning in Bournemouth International Centre last Thursday.

In the third night of this tournament, Phil Taylor took control of this whole game and beat Simon Whitlock with  the sum of 7-2 and reached 5 points in total of this tournament.

In the fifth one, both of these two landed 180s. However, Taylor missed double 12 and double 6 giving Whitlock the chance to steal this leg and turn the total score to 3:2. After that, Taylor won the three legs and brought the match into the 9th leg. In this leg, Whitlock missed double 11 and then missed double 4 in two darts. Taylor, the Power, hit Double 20 with one dart and ended the match.

“You’re not going to win the Premier League in the first four or five weeks,” Phil Taylor said after the match: “Now I am going to relax and have a good weekend.”

“I enjoyed it and I could tell by the crowd that they were enjoying it too,” said Taylor.

In the next round, Taylor would face the challenge from James Wade who also won this night.

About the other games, in the Dutchman vs Dutchman competition, Michael van Gerwen ended Raymond van Barneveld’s victory run with a score of 7-3. Andy Hamilton beat Gary Anderson while Robert Thornton and Wes Newton ended in a 6-6 tie.

McCoy’s Premier League Darts tournament would come to Exeter this Thursday for its forth night game.
