Police released yesterday a CCTV image of the man they wish to speak to in relation to the charity box stolen from a Co-op on Ringwood Road in Poole. The theft occurred at 06:05am on Saturday 25 August 2018.

The supermarket was raising money for Bearwood Ward at Poole Hospital, which cares for sick children and young people.

Dorset Police published a press release yesterday announcing the development in their investigation. They have also identified a white Hyundai Iconiq as the vehicle used by the suspect.

In light of this development, James Somerville, Police Community Support Investigator, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries to identify the man in the CCTV and trace the vehicle, however these have so far been unsuccessful.”

The police are turning to the public for help in the search.

“Anyone who recognises the suspect or has any information about the crime is being asked to contact Dorset Police.” They can do so by visiting www.dorset.police.uk, emailing 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or calling 101.

Alternatively, individuals can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
