I'm Daniel, I'm 22 and was born in Poole. In Summer 2013 I completed my undergraduate degree in History and Politics at Swansea University. During this time, I also took advantage of opportunities to develop my interest in the media and set my sights on journalism as a career. I wrote current affairs and sports news for student newspaper The Waterfront and was awarded Sports Writer of the Year at the university's media awards. In second year I ran and edited a new sports website which offered an alternative to newspaper coverage of unversity sport. In my final year, Iset up work experience assisting a professional journalist at Swansea City FC home matches, a role I relished. Being in the environment of, and playing my part in, real-time news coverage, was thrilling and exactly how I see my future.
