The Cherries start winning again after the last weeks defeat against Chesterfield. In the 2010-2011 season the Cherries qualified for the playoffs finishing top of league six, but could not achieve a qualifying place for the upper league. Currently AFC Bournemouth is in eighth position in the league table and needs to be at least sixth in order to repeat last season's success.
Cherries sign Matt Tubbs for record fee
AFC Bournemouth transferred Matt Tubbs with a club record fee of £800,000. Bournemouth signed Tubbs has signed a three and a half year contract and will wear the number 25 shirt. Tubbs scored 40 goals in 47 appearances in his first season at Crawley, with a return of 18 goals in 31 appearances in his second.
