Biggest photography competition opens for all Dorset’s talents

It is a Facebook-based competition that has run by Daily Echo Camera Club. The Facebook group, which has more than 2,600 members, now welcomes new entrants in Dorset to join and submit their spectacular shots in celebration of the stunning scenery and wildlife the county has to offer in all seasons.

The competition, as a way to spread breathtaking images of life in Dorset, opens for both professional and amateur photographers of all abilities.

“I am very pleased that the competition has now opened for amateur photographers. It helps me, and others, can show off my photography achievements and share our love for the county.” says a photography blogger Kim Chu.

Pictures submitted must be taken recently or historically in Dorset. They can also be taken on all forms of photographic equipment from a mobile phone to different kinds of cameras.

The first prize is £200 in vouchers. There’s also a second prize of £100 in vouchers and two runners’ up prizes of £50 in vouchers.

This photograph competition has launched in February 2017. This year, The organiser has received 600 pictures submitted so far, now still opening for new submission until midnight on April 19.
