Robyn Collard and Nikki Gigg, a Business Development Specialist, and Nikki Gigg, a retail assistant, both from New Milton, were inspired to take on the challenge to raise funds for the Princess Anne Hospital, in Southampton.

This comes after they witnessed the assistance that their friends, Rose Costello and Ashley Jackson, received from the hospital’s team, after their unborn baby, Pheobe, passed away last October due to full placental abruption, at 37 weeks’ gestation.

“After we saw all the work that the team at Princess Anne Hospital has done, and how they are not actually funded, we wanted to try to raise some money to give a little back to them”, explained Robyn.

She added: “After all the different things they did for Rose and Ashley, after they lost the baby, we wanted to help the team carrying on the amazing work that they have been doing.”

Robyn and Nikki hope to raise £1,000 for the bereavement care team at the hospital and to help future families going through similar situations.

The adventure will take place on Sunday May 5 at GoSkyDive center, in Salisbury.
