The Cherries start winning again

The Cherries start winning again after the last weeks defeat against Chesterfield. In the 2010-2011 season the Cherries qualified for the playoffs finishing top of league six, but could not achieve a qualifying place for the upper league. Currently AFC Bournemouth is in eighth position in the league table and needs to be at least sixth in order to repeat last season’s success.

After last week’s defeat the cherries won a clear victory against Exeter city 2-0.

The goals were scored by Matt Tubbs in the 72nd minute and Scott Malone in the 78th.

Last week AFC Bournemouth lost an away game against the trailing Chesterfield, blemishing its otherwise unbeaten record in away games since september 2011.

The substitute Scott Malone scored a goal and assisted in the goal of new transfer Matt Tubbs. After his performance Malone was named man of the match. “Thanks for all the Tweets !! AbsolutelyBuzzing !! #Playoffs” said Malone on twitter after the game.

Matt Tubbs the Cherrie’s new striker scored a goal and showed  that he will be useful to the team in its path to qualifying for the playoffs.

The Cherries have seven games left this season and they need to keep doing what they did against Exeter in order to qualify for the playoffs. The Seward Stadium accommodated 5,497 cheering fans for the Exeter City game . AFC Bournemouth’s March Pugh tweeted “Still buzzing with the result last night, great support again from our fans.”

AFC Bournemouth will play its next league match away against Hartlepool United on 11 February at Victoria Park stadium.
