It seems like cakes and wedding dresses are not the only businesses in the wedding industry. A Bournemouth digital development company, which took part in the Wedding Show 2012 at the BIC (Bournemouth International Centre), has come out with an iPad application that will help organise your marriage.

Kriss Bennett, a graduate of Bournemouth University and director of Createful, is getting married in April. At first Kriss only planned to make an iPad application to plan his own wedding but ended up launching it in the app store.

[wpcol_1half id=”” class=”” style=””] Kriss explained the reason that he wanted to build his own wedding planning app: ” I tried about 5 to 6 free apps and couples of payed ones, I  also explored the website root as well. However none of them really met my requirements and so I decided to make my own one.” [/wpcol_1half] [wpcol_1half_end id=”” class=”” style=””]
[/wpcol_1half_end] “As I was building it alone I realised that it has some more value in it and hopefully somebody else might want to try it and find it useful.”said Kriss.

With a team of two other graduates and a placement student that are also from Bournemouth University, the company managed to build the app with more than six different functions. Createful added a direct feedback feature to improve the interactivity with their user. The app is highly functional with features such as Guest List, Budget Planner, To-Do List, date count down and also a special function – Thank You’s.

[wpcol_1half id=”” class=”” style=””]”After the wedding itself, if you want to go back and write a thank you card or when you have opened a gift and want to say thank you, it is really easy for you to drop down notes.”Kriss added [/wpcol_1half] [wpcol_1half_end id=”” class=”” style=””][/wpcol_1half_end]

The Createful team is now working on a new feature called ‘seating planner’ and also trying to increase more features on Wedding Planner for iPad in the future update. At the end, Kriss revealed that they are planning to launch a second wave of promotion on  Wedding Planner for iPad during Valentines Week.
