Two men seriously injured in Poole stabbing

An incident in Poole has left two men seriously injured.

Emergency services were called to Sterte Close at 2.19 this morning, after two men were found with stab wounds to their backs.

One man – a 34 year old of no fixed abode – has been left with life threatening injuries.

The other victim – a 45 year old from Poole – suffered serious harm.

Both men have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Police have searched and cordoned off the surrounding area, but no arrests have been made.

Detective Inspector Andy Roberts, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a very serious incident and an extensive investigation is now underway.

“The public will see a large police presence in the area. We are conducting house-to-house enquiries and are examining the scene thoroughly to establish what happened and to apprehend the offenders. Local officers are also patrolling in the area to offer reassurance.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the assault and anyone with information about those responsible to come forward and contact police urgently.”
