Volunteers transform Tucker’s field

Hamworthy comes together to help transform Tucker’s field into a shared space.

The Hamworthy community has been coming together to help transform a former school field into a shared space for local residents to use.

Volunteers attended an activity day organised by Poole Council Green Space development at Tucker’s Field in order to help plant wildflowers and create wildlife habitats.

Formerly part of Hamworthy County Primary School’s playground, Tucker’s field was officially opened to the public on 26th March.

However, work to regenerate the land is ongoing, although this is the final organised day the field shall now be left to nature and for the plants to grow.
